WHALE SHARK & MESOAMERICAN REEF 🐋🌊 Approximate Schedule: • 6:00 AM — Hotel Pickup • 7:00 AM — Coffee break at the port • 7:45 AM — Departure for the Biosphere Reserve • 9:00 AM — Start swimming with whale sharks • 11:00 AM — Departure from the whale shark viewing area • 12:00 PM — Snorkeling on the Mesoamerican Reef • 1:00 PM — Fresh ceviche and drinks • 1:30 PM — Departure for Cancun • 1:45 PM — Arrival at the port • 3:00 PM — Return to hotel The experience begins early with a transfer to the port and a light breakfast to fuel up before setting sail. Coffee, fruit, yogurt, and snacks prepare us for a morning dedicated to discovering one of the most extraordinary encounters in the Mexican Caribbean. Afterwards, we sailed towards the Biosphere Reserve, following sea conditions, bird activity, and the local knowledge of our captains and guides to find the largest fish on the planet in its natural habitat. During the journey, it's also possible to spot sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins, and other species that share these waters. Once the whale shark is located, the main activity begins. Under the supervision of the guides, each pair makes two controlled entries into the water to observe this giant of the ocean as it feeds and moves freely. Each encounter is different, and nature always has the final say. After the activity, we head to a snorkeling spot within the Mesoamerican Reef. A perfect opportunity to continue enjoying the water, observe tropical fish, and relax after the morning's activity. The day ends anchored near the beach with fresh seasonal ceviche, drinks, and an interpretive talk about the species and ecosystems observed during the day before heading back to Cancun.
